1104th CDC Participates in PA-Wide Blood Donation Activity

March 8, 2025 – In celebration of the 128th Philippine Army Anniversary, personnel from the 1104th Community Defense Center (1104CDC), 11th Regional Community Defense Group (11RCDG), Reserve Command Philippine Army (RCPA), led by MAJ MARK ANTHONY M VILLACORTE (OS) PA, Director, took part in a simultaneous blood donation event held nationwide.

The event, in collaboration with the Philippine Red Cross, the City Health Office, and the Barangay Health Workers of Dahican, took place at the Covered Court of the 1104CDC at the Government Center, Dahican, Mati City. The blood donation drive aimed to contribute to the ongoing efforts to ensure a steady supply of blood for medical emergencies and save lives.

The activity saw strong participation from various groups, including reservists from the 1104th Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion (1104RRIBn), personnel from the Philippine National Police (PNP) City Police Station (CPS), as well as ROTC cadets from the Davao Oriental State University (DORSU) and Mati Polytechnic College Institution (MPCI) ROTC Units.

A total of 95 bags (47,500cc) of assorted blood types were successfully donated during the event. The blood donation drive concluded at approximately 1:30 PM on the same day.

The 1104CDC, 11RCDG, RCPA extends its gratitude to all participants for their generosity and support in this life-saving initiative.
