11RCDG and TESDA XI Formalize its Partnership

Davao City – The 11th Regional Community Defense Group, Reserve Command, Philippine Army under the leadership of COL JOSUE M CABERTO MI (GSC) PA and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) XI headed by Dir. Ashary A. Banto, Regional Director, TESDA XI formally entered into a Memorandum of Partnership Agreement (MOPA) held at Headquarters 11th Regional Community Defense Group, Reserve Command, Philippine Army Camp San Gabriel, Mintal, Tugbok District, Davao City on September 20, 2024.

The partnership aims to strengthen good collaboration in terms of community-based training, skills development programs for regular and reservist personnel, immersion of TESDA students to 11RCDG and CDCs, and promotion of Reserve Force Development advocacy.

It was also attended by 11RCDG and CDCs personnel and the Center Administrators of TESDA XI headed by Ms. Myrna C. Roa, Chief, Regional Operations Division/District Director, TESDA Davao City District Office.

Likewise, COL CABERTO emphasized the importance of TESDA skills training that will benefit both regular and reservist personnel as the Group envisioned the reservist personnel to possess three (3) important trainings: Basic Life Support Training, Emergency Response Training, and Technical Education and Skills Training. With these trainings, the Group would be able to make significant contributions to peace, security, and development efforts in the region, becoming more relevant and effective in fulfilling its mission.

On the other hand, Dir. Banto expressed his profound gratitude to 11RCDG for formalizing its partnership with their agency which will surely contribute to their mandate. He also urged his staff to closely coordinate with the 11RCDG to start the necessary skills training before the year ends. Further, COL CABERTO is optimistic that this partnership will provide a better opportunity in the future and serve as one of the best practices of the 11RCDG worthy of emulation.
