On 22 February 2025, at 0800H, the 1104th Community Defense Center (CDC), under the leadership of MAJ MARK ANTHONY M VILLACORTE (OS) PA, facilitated a lecture on Marksmanship and Dry-Firing for 105 reservist personnel from the HSVC Company and Bravo Company, 1104th Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion (RRIBn). The training, conducted at Headquarters 1104CDC, 11RCDG, RESCOM, PA, Government Center, Dahican, Mati City, Davao Oriental, was held in collaboration with the 66th Infantry Battalion, 10th Infantry Division, Philippine Army, whose personnel served as Range Officers. MAJ ROWILL A. TIRRO PA (RES), Officer-in-Charge, led the participating reservists in this capability-enhancement exercise.
The activity focused on fundamentals of marksmanship, proper handling of firearms, and dry-firing techniques to improve the reservists' weapons proficiency and operational readiness.
This initiative underscores the Philippine Army Reserve Command’s commitment to ensuring its reservists are combat-ready and well-trained in handling firearms for national defense and disaster response operations. The training successfully concluded at 1700H on the same day, equipping participants with vital skills essential for their duties.
