Davao City – COL JOSUE M CABERTO MI (GSC) PA, Group Commander, 11th Regional Community Defense Group, Reserve Command, Philippine Army and the Kolehiyo ng Pantukan (KNP) headed by its College President Dr. Nitchell A. Acedillo, DBA formally signed into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the activation of ROTC Unit held at the Kolehiyo ng Pantukan in Brgy Kingking, Pantukan, Davao de Oro on December 06, 2024.
The activity was witnessed by Dr. Eufrosina P. Mines, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Mr. Juan A. Sarinas, NSTP Director, COL NOLI P KANASHIRO INF (GSC) PA, Director, 1103CDC, COL REANDREW P RUBIO INF (GSC) PA, Director, 1105CDC/Group S7, 11RCDG, ROTC Cadets, and some management and staff of the said institution. COL KANASHIRO also discussed the obligations of both parties and current updates on the implementation of the ROTC Program prior to formal signing.
The ROTC Program is one of the vital components of the National Service Training Program (NSTP) which is mandated to develop the physical, moral, spiritual, intellectual, and social well-being of the youth and motivate, train, organize, and involve the youth in military programs and other related endeavors in service of the nation.
Meanwhile, Dr. Acedillo expressed her heartfelt gratitude to 11RCDG for its mandate and initiatives in improving the ROTC Program. She stressed that their institution will continue to support the ROTC Program as this is an effective way to develop the sense of responsibility and an opportunity to train the students to become a future leaders and a role model in the community.
On the other hand, COL CABERTO in his message thanked the Kolehiyo ng Pantukan for the noble intention to partner 11RCDG for the activation of ROTC Unit. “This is also another milestone of the 11RCDG for activating another ROTC Unit in Davao Region. “We will remain to be steadfast in accomplishing our mission and highly committed to develop and train our ROTC Cadets for their brighter future”, Caberto said.
