COMRESCOM Visits Headquarters 1106CDC

Malita, Davao Occidental – Maj. Gen. Romulo A. Manuel Jr., Commander, Reserve Command, Philippine Army, made a noteworthy visit to the Headquarters 1106th Community Defense Center (1106CDC), 11th Regional Community Defense Group (11RCDG), in Malita, Davao Occidental on August 13, 2024. This visit marked a pivotal moment as the 1106th Community Defense Center (1106CDC) and the 1106th Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion (1106RRIBn) were recently activated through the leadership of Col. Josue M. Caberto, MI (GSC) PA, Group Commander, 11RCDG.

One of the highlights of this occasion was the ceremonial donning of ranks for newly commissioned officers and the promotion of reservists, marking a significant milestone in their military careers and signifying their preparedness to undertake new duties and leadership roles within the Reserve Force. This was followed by the awarding of the Military Commendation Medal to 1106RRIBn personnel who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to service in their respective roles.

In his speech, Maj. Gen. Manuel Jr. acknowledged the importance of this unit, expressing pride in the leadership of Col. Crisanto C. Calit OS (GSC) PA, 1106CDC Director, and Lt. Col. Claude P. Bautista (MNSA) PA (RES), Battalion Commander. Lt. Col. Bautista’s extensive experience as a former mayor, governor, and current congressman of Davao Occidental reinforces the leadership that will guide the 1106RRIBn toward further success.

He concluded his speech by expressing deep appreciation to the civilian stakeholders, local government leaders, and military commanders who have supported the 1106CDC and 1106RRIBN. He emphasized the importance of continuous collaboration and support to advance the development of the Reserve Force.
