COMRESCOM Joins 11RCDG in Celebrating 45 Years of Unwavering Service

Tugbok, Davao City, Davao del Sur – The 11th Regional Community Defense Group (11RCDG) commemorated its 45th Founding Anniversary, marked by the presence of Maj. Gen. Romulo A. Manuel Jr., Commander of the Reserve Command, Philippine Army, who graced the occasion as the esteemed Guest of Honor and speaker. The celebration was held at the 11RCDG Headquarters in Tugbok, Davao City, Davao del Sur on August 12, 2024.

In his address, Maj. Gen. Manuel Jr. underscored the 11RCDG’s remarkable success, attributing it to the combined efforts of its officers, enlisted personnel, and civilian partners. Under the leadership of Col. Josue M. Caberto (GSC) PA, Group Commander, the 11RCDG has demonstrated unwavering commitment to developing, organizing, and training reservists in Davao Region, establishing itself as a crucial component of the Total Army.

Maj. Gen. Manuel Jr. commended the 11RCDG for its vital role in national security and community resilience, highlighting its efforts to create disaster-resilient communities and build strong partnerships with local governments. He also emphasized the significance of strategic collaborations with agencies like Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, Office of the Civil Defense, and National Intelligence Coordinating Agency, which have enhanced reservists' skills, intelligence capabilities, and community support. 

The event featured by giving recognition to deserving personnel, reservists, and civilian partners for their exemplary dedication and service, alongside with the ceremonial Donning of Ranks for newly Commissioned Officers and promoted reservists. Maj. Gen. Manuel Jr. concluded on his speech by noting the unit’s ability to harmonize mission success with personnel welfare, urging continued progress while maintaining alignment with the objectives of the Command and Higher Headquarters, reinforcing the 11RCDG's capability to fulfill any task at hand.
