The 1102nd Community Defense Center, 11th Regional Community Defense Group, Reserve Command, Philippine Army headed by Col Julito P Garay, Director together with the reservist personnel of Charlie Company, 1102nd Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion headed by 1Lt Jose R Curaza Jr, Company Commander and ROTC cadets of ACES Polytechnic College Inc.
ROTC Unit participated in the Coastal Clean-up Drive activity in connection with the World Ocean Day celebration with a theme: “Catalyzing Action for our Ocean & Climate” initiated by the City Environment and Natural Resources Office of Panabo City headed by Engr. EnP. FELIX JONASES P. SENAJON, MEP-Envi. held at Purok Lapu-lapu, Brgy. San Pedro, Panabo City today, June 8, 2024.
Personnel from Panabo City Police Station, PNP Maritime Group, Bureau of Fire & Protection (BFP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Davao International Container Terminal (DICT), Brgy Council of Brgy San Pedro, Panabo City, Guardian Brotherhood Incorporated, and United Motorcycle Clubs of Panabo (UMPC) were also joined the activity.
The activity aims to create a healthy environment through collaboration between government agencies and civil society organizations in promoting proper waste management in the community.
An estimated total of 30 sacks/garbage bag of assorted waste were collected during the activity.
