Davao City - In line with the Reserve Force Development and the current thrust of Higher Headquarters, MGEN ROMULO A MANUEL JR, Commander, Reserve Command, Philippine Army ably represented by BGEN SAMUEL B MANZANO PA, Deputy Commander of the Reserve Command, Philippine Army presides the Joint Activation of the 1106th Community Defense Center and 1106th Ready Reserve Infantry Bn held at Headquarters 73IB, 10ID, PA, Brgy Felis, Malita, Davao Occidental on May 10, 2024.
COL CRISANTO B CALIT OS (GSC) PA, officially designated/installed as the First CDC Director of the 1106th CDC together with LTC CLAUDE P BAUTISTA MNSA PA (RES), also designated as Commanding Officer of the 1106th Ready Reserve Infantry Batallion and at the same time the incumbent Congressman of Lone District of Davao Occidental.
The said event was also attended by LTGEN GLORIOSO V MIRANDA AFP (RET), Former Chief of Staff, AFP, BGEN PATRICIO RUBEN P AMATA PA, Commander, 1002nd Infantry Brigade, BGEN FELIX RONNIE B BABAC PA, Commander, 1001st Infantry Brigade,11RCDG personnel, 73IB personnel, PNP, BFP, BJMP, PCG, local officials, and reservist personnel.
One of the highlights was the blessings of three (3) motorcycles, one (1) Isuzu van (rescue vehicle), and one (1) ambulance as initial mobility of the 1106CDC which will be used in case of disasters and calamities. These assets were donated by Congressman Claude P Bautista.
BGEN MANZANO expressed his profound gratitude and appreciated the efforts and support of the local officials for the assistance and support extended to 11RCDG and of the newly activated 1106CDC. “The Reserve Command, Philippine Army is doing its best to provide the necessary support to all RCDGs and CDCs for us to be more responsive and relevant while performing our mission", Manzano said.
