Davao City – BGEN SAMUEL B MANZANO PA, the Deputy Commander, Reserve Command, Philippine Army, visited the Headquarters 11RCDG, Mintal, Tugbok District, Davao City on May 9, 2024, and in Headquarters 1104CDC, Gov’t Center, Dahican, Mati City, Davao Oriental on May 11, 2024.
During these visits, BGen Manzano presented esteemed military awards, underscoring the bravery and dedication of both organic personnel and reservists. Among the prestigious recognitions bestowed were the Gawad sa Kaunlaran, Meritorious Achievement Medals, Bronze Cross Medal, Military Merit Medal, and Military Civic Action Medal. These accolades were conferred in acknowledgment of exceptional performance and unwavering commitment to both military and community development endeavors. A total of 6 organic personnel and 15 reservists were honored with various military awards from EMC, AFP, 10ID, PA, and 11RCDG, RESCOM, PA.
The tradition of awarding military medals, steeped in history, holds profound significance within the military organization. It serves as a testament to individuals' exemplary contributions and selfless efforts, directly impacting the unit's overarching mission.
In commending the efforts of 11RCDG, BGen Manzano praised the leadership of Colonel Josue M. Caberto MI (GSC) PA, the Group Commander, for demonstrating unwavering commitment and achieving remarkable milestones through innovative and collaborative efforts. Recognizing the pivotal role of the reserve force in maintaining peace and security in the insurgency-free Davao region, BGen Manzano emphasized the significance of receiving military medals, attributing them to the diligent work and unwavering dedication to duty in the service of God, country, and people.
