TSg Joenel M Barranco (Inf) PA of the 1104th Community Defense Center (1104th CDC), 11th Regional Community Defense Group (11th RCDG), under the supervision of MAJ MARK ANTHONY M VILLACORTE (OS) PA, Director of 1104th CDC, facilitated the 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 from 𝐖𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐒𝐲𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐀𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐚, and 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐢 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐲𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝.
The event was held at the Headquarters of the 1104th CDC, Government Center, Dahican, Mati City, Davao Oriental. Highlights of the tour included a Small Unit Tactics demonstration and a static display of weapons and Army mobility assets, conducted by personnel from the 66th Infantry Battalion (66IB), 10th Infantry Division, Philippine Army (10ID, PA), led by 1LT ABZEDE T JULIANO (INF) PA, Training Officer of 66IB.
Additionally, a Medical Team and Armor Personnel Attach Unit from the 701st Brigade, 7ID, PA, participated, showcasing their capabilities and engaging the students interactively.
The educational tour aimed to foster cultural exchange and enhance students' understanding of the Philippine Army's operations, readiness, and defense and humanitarian work capabilities. The event concluded with an open forum where students discussed Army training, operations, and community engagement, fostering meaningful dialogue on military practices and national defense.
The collaboration between the 1104th CDC, 66IB, and 701st Brigade highlighted the Army's commitment to community relations and its role in promoting education and awareness, building connections with local and international academic institutions.
