Davao Region - In line with the ongoing programs, best practices, and initiatives of the 11th Regional Community Defense Group, Reserve Command, Philippine Army, and its support for the implementation of End Local Communist Armed Conflict (ELCAC) in the operational areas of the 10th Infantry Division, Philippine Army, around 1,235 individuals predominantly Indigenous People (IP), benefited from various services during the "7th Serbisyo Caravan" organized by the 11RCDG, RESCOM, PA at Brgy Talaguton, Don Marcelino, Davao Occidental on July 19, 2024. The activity was also in close collaboration and partnership with the various units, agencies, and stakeholders.
The primary objective of the program is to provide essential basic social services to the local residents, prevent the resurgence of the Communist Terrorist Groups (CTGs), and sustain the operational gains of the 10th Infantry Division, Philippine Army.
During the activity, the 1106th Community Defense Center, 1105CDC, 73IB, 2202nd Ready Reserve Infantry Brigade, 1105th Ready Reserve Infantry Bn, 1106th Ready Reserve Infantry Bn, 6th Technical Administrative Service, 6th Judge Advocate General Service, PNP, Office of the Vice Mayor of Don Marcelino, Office of Congressional District of Davao Occidental, Philippine Red Cross Davao del Sur Chapter, Southern Philippines Medical Center, Department of Health, Department of Agriculture 11, All Reservist Movement Corp (ARMC), The Fraternal Order of Wolf, BCMT Class Mabagsik, LTFRB 11, ROLP, KAAAI, UM Silverblade ROTC Alumni Association, AMUMA Cancer Support Association, STADA Philippines, ANFLO Banana Corporation, DSWD 11, PHILHEALTH, MSWDO, Eastern Mindanao Travelers Club, and the Brgy Talaguton Council extended their respective services and assistance during the activity.
Among the services provided were medical and dental care, operation tuli, feeding program, free haircut, blood typing, random blood sugar testing, distribution of school supplies, hygiene kits, eyeglasses, and slippers, pre-registration, BP check-ups, 4Ps applications, Philippine Red Cross health lectures, Office of Senior Citizens Affairs Desk, Philhealth e-consulta, and vegetable seeds from DA 11.
The beneficiaries expressed their heartfelt gratitude to 11RCDG under the leadership of COL JOSUE M CABERTO MI (GSC) PA and its partner agencies and stakeholders for bringing different services closer to the people who are often deprived of such services.
"This program or initiative would not have been made possible without the untiring support and assistance of the All Reservist Movement Corporation (ARMC) who exerted efforts in orchestrating the active participation of the reservist personnel”. “It also illustrated the cooperative and ongoing endeavors of governmental and non-governmental organizations, demonstrating their various strengths at the barangay level”. “I would like to convey my sincere gratitude for the steadfast commitment and support from the partner agencies and organizations. Let us continue to support each other, especially for this initiatives in Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas (GIDAs) across Davao Region, aiming for sustainable peace and development," COL CABERTO said.
