11RCDG Successfully Ties Partnership with KCAST


 Mankilam, Tagum City, Davao del Norte—The 11th Regional Community Defense Group, Reserve Command, Philippine Army and the Kapalong College of Agriculture, Sciences and Technology (KCAST) formalized its partnership by signing a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) held at KCAST Campus, Brgy. Maniki, Kapalong, Davao del Norte today, June 27, 2024.

Col. Josue M. Caberto, Group Commander of 11RCDG, RESCOM, PA and Mr. Rodrigo C. Licayan Jr., DBA, the College President signed the Memorandum of Agreement for the activation of KCAST Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) Unit under the administration of the Philippine Army.

The activity solidifies mutual dedication of both parties to fortify the ROTC program in KCAST and empower cadets with comprehensive military training, leadership development and civic responsibility.

In a message, Mr. Licayan in behalf of the KCAST Board of Trustees and faculty expressed his full support to the 11RCDG as the new administering unit of their ROTC.

Likewise, Col Caberto expressed his sincere gratitude to the Board of Trustees of KCAST for their support in the realization of the activity. Together, let us inspire the youth to become the best versions of themselves and commit to fostering a brighter future for our nation”, he added.

Also present during the activity were Col. Julito P. Garay, Director of 1102nd Community Defense Center, 1Lt Raul V Dela Cruz, Company Commander of Alpha Company, 1102RRIBn, Mr. James C. Royo, PhD, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Ms. Maricel C. Angcla, NSTP Coordinator, and other Enlisted and Reservist personnel of 11th RCDG and 1102nd CDC.
